Welcome to The Alans Folk Band page.

The Alans perform with flute & whistles, mandolin and bouzouki, fiddle and bodhran, guitar and mandola, and four voices in harmony to deliver an intoxicating mixture of rousing songs and stirring tunes.

The Alans have extensive experience across Scotland and have impressed and entertained audiences in pubs and hotels with their rousing, old-fashioned brand of folk music, from the banks of Loch Lomond to the Kingdom of Fife, from Killearn to Renfrew, Houston and beyond. The band has performed twice now at the Celtic Connections Danny Kyle Stage, entertained the crowds at the Special Olympics in Glasgow and delighted audiences at the Neilston Live festival in 2005 to 2007.
